Beim Entwurf zur Holzinsel sollten zwei Phänome berücksichtigt werden. Einer-seits, dass man Anderen gerne bei ihrer Tätigkeit zuschaut, andererseits aber auch die Freude an der Ferne.
Bei der Insel besteht die Möglichkeit von einer Höhe von ca 1.30m die Stadt und ihr Treiben aus einem anderen Blickwinkel zu sehen und kennen zu lernen. Assoziationen an eine Badeinsel sind gewollt. Holzlatten und eine typische Schwimmbadleiter fordern den Benutzer zum Hinaufklettern und Liegen auf.
